1-Year Limited Warranty

If a light quits on you, here's the deal. This covers every order, including ones placed before this page went up. For those earlier orders, this warranty only adds to your rights. The limits in "The legal part" don't take away anything you already had.

Who and how long

  • Covers the person who bought the lights from CB Lighting. It doesn't transfer if you sell the truck or the lights.
  • Lasts 1 year from the day your order is delivered (the delivery date on your tracking, or the day you picked it up).
  • Reach out before your year is up.

What's covered

  • Rock lights, wheel lights (Old and Upgraded), 12 Row Switchback Wheel Lights, 5 Row Frame Strips and 6 Row Switchback Frame Strips. Packages are covered piece by piece, same as if you bought each light on its own.
  • The lights, control box, remote, splitters and extensions that came in your kit.
  • Defects under normal use, like LEDs going out, a light or control box that stops working, or water getting inside a light (they're rated IP68).
  • Covered whether or not your lights are installed yet.

What's not covered

  • Accidents and outside damage. Rain, mud and normal trail driving are normal use. Hail, close-up pressure washing, or a light that gets smashed, cracked or ripped off by a rock, debris, a crash or a trail hit isn't covered.
  • Damage caused by install mistakes, like wrong wiring, bad splices, no fuse, or a bigger fuse than the one that came in the kit.
  • Water that gets in through cut or damaged wires, or a control box mounted somewhere wet (mount it in a dry spot).
  • Damage caused by opening up or changing a light or its control box. Opening a light breaks its waterproof seal, so water that gets in after that isn't covered.
  • Normal wear, like scratches.
  • Accessories sold on their own, like extensions, magnets, wire holders and mounts, plus hats, shirts, fuses and remote batteries.

Wiring it the way our Wiring Guide shows (posi-taps, T-taps, an add-a-circuit fuse tap) is fine. A shop install, or your own wire, fuse or switch, won't void this warranty. We just don't cover damage those cause. Install work we did for you isn't part of this warranty. Text us and we'll talk it through.

How to make a claim

  • Text 979-777-3345 or email dashcdl2009@gmail.com (both take videos). You can also DM @cblighting on TikTok or use our contact page to get started.
  • Send your order number, photos and a short video showing the problem.
  • We check it with the maker. If it's a covered defect, we replace the part or light that failed, not the whole kit.
  • If we can't get a replacement, we refund that light's or part's share of what you paid. If your kit can't work without that part (like the control box), we refund the whole kit. If we can't get your replacement out within 45 days of approving your claim, you can pick the refund instead. That's what this warranty gives you.
  • Replacements come from the maker, so they take a while to get to you. We'll keep you posted.

Shipping and labor

  • You pay shipping on the replacement. We'll tell you the cost before it ships. (Lights that don't work right out of the box are on us. See below.)
  • You don't need to send the bad one back unless we ask. If we do, we'll tell you how, and you pay that shipping too.
  • We don't pay labor to take lights off or put them back on.

The legal part

Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last only as long as this warranty: 1 year from the day your order is delivered. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

This warranty doesn't cover incidental or consequential damages, like labor, shop fees, towing or lost time. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This doesn't limit what you're owed if a defect injures someone.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
